About us
Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years' industry experience in Australia and New Zealand.
We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors.
Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works, and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

About the role
We are on the lookout for a meticulous and proactive Payroll Officer to join our team in either Regents Park or Brisbane!

This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, supporting the efficient and accurate processing of payroll.

Responsibilities include

Supporting Supervisors and Managers in the timely completion of timesheets.
Processing payroll files and maintaining accurate payroll and time sheetingrecords.
Assistance with generating internal and statutory payroll reports.
Ensuring the correct application of Enterprise Agreement (SEA) conditions.
Handling tasks such as termination payments, back pays, and payroll tax reconciliations.
Processing deductions and income protection payments.
Supporting long service leave administration, including registrations and payments.
Assisting in year-end reconciliations for payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG and LSL.
Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and management.
Providing support during audits as required.
What you'll bring to the team
3+ years of payroll experience within a medium to large organisation.
Solid understanding of payroll processes, legislation and statutory requirements.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in payroll systems (IFS experience highly regarded)and Microsoft Office.
Experience within the Construction Industry is desirable, but not essential.
