About us Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years' industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation:the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities. About the project Abergeldie is delivering a major upgrade at the Mardi Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for Central Coast Council. This project was awarded following a thorough Early Contractor Involvement process, during which Abergeldie identified value engineering opportunities. The upgrade aims to improve the plant's capacity to provide safe drinking water, supporting the growth of the Central Coast region while also fulfilling inter-region transfer commitments. The scope includes designing, constructing, testing, and commissioning upgrades to the Water Treatment Plant.

About the opportunity Based on Central Coast, NSW , this role is ideal for an experienced Construction Worker looking to take the next step into a hands-on Leading Hand position. In this role, you will report to the site supervisors and assist in coordinating daily site tasks. You'll work closely with the crew, ensuring that projects run smoothly, while still being involved in practical, hands-on work. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Supporting the site supervisors in coordinating tasks for the team. Ensuring the upkeep of the site, including maintaining roadways, sediment control, and general site maintenance. Promoting and maintaining safety What you'll bring to the team Extensive experience in a similar role Structural/civil background Excavator ticket (highly advantageous) Current driver's licence (essential) WHS General Induction Card (White Card) Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening prior to placement Full working rights in Australia (Essential) Why you should work with us Our people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure that this is the kind of place where great people enjoy working for the long term.
