Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for creating, owning, and implementing Service strategy in coordination with the Local Business Line Manager and driving Service growth locally at the respective local unit level. You will lead the Hoisting service organization and be responsible for the P&L to achieve performance targets and optimize the utilization of service resources. You will also showcase your expertise by demonstrating sound knowledge of business processes within the relevant industry and acting as an expert in realizing the business's long-term objectives. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid. This role contributes to the Hoisting Business Line of the Process Industries Division of ABB, Australia.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Creating, implementing, and monitoring performance targets as part of the respective unit P&L (financial, productivity, investments, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, etc.). Executing service and sales channel strategy within your area of responsibility. Implementing productized service offerings and materials for marketing purposes and investing in service sales to increase market penetration. Building sustainable customer relationships to ensure growth, satisfaction, and retention of customers together with sales. Guiding, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates and being accountable for building an effective, capable, and high-performing organization. Driving a continuous improvement culture and implementing improvements to achieve service excellence and increase profitability in your area of responsibility. Being responsible for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and all other business compliance standards and regulations in your area of responsibility. Qualifications for the role You are experienced in delivering mine site service, maintenance, or installation works, either in mechanical or electrical discipline. Ability to demonstrate your experience in effectively managing and leading a specialized team. You have a minimum of 10 years' experience in mine maintenance, or managing and delivering field services to the mining industry or similar industrial market. Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar qualification. Ideally, you are eligible to register as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Experience in maintaining or servicing mine hoist systems and/or executing shaft sinking is an advantage. You are at ease communicating in English. You are driven, motivated, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
