We are seeking a motivated Estimator to join our team at our head office in Kwinana. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued growth of Aaro.
Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely estimates, proposals, and tenders. Collaborate with project managers and internal departments to gather necessary information. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders. Prepare and distribute work packages to suppliers for quoted pricing. Incorporate financial and commercial requirements into estimates as approved during the tender review process. Determine material quantities and order as required before contract commencement. Attend site inspections and client meetings as needed. Prepare post-submission responses to clients for clarification of tender matters. Review actual costs versus budgeted costs during and upon job completion. Maintain internal registers and prepare reports with up-to-date information. Maintain Expert Estimator software for estimating, job costing, and surveying activities. Continuously seek opportunities to improve estimating and scheduling practices. Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on estimates, cost analyses, and key project considerations. Exhibit a proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to hit the ground running. Skills & Experience Proficiency in computer systems and digital platforms, including the Microsoft Office Suite – essential . Experience with Expert Estimator – highly desirable . Current C-Class Driver's Licence. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify priorities, seek clarification when needed, and set realistic expectations to manage tasks effectively. Flexible and adaptable to changes in business needs. Humble – prioritises team success over individual recognition. Hungry – self-motivated and diligent in achieving goals. Smart – solution-oriented, with good judgement and intuition.
