This role is a rare opportunity for an experienced accounting and financial professional to join our dynamic and driven team. The objective of the role is to lead the accounting team, manage all aspects of accounting and finance functions of the company, support General Manager and senior management team, and contribute to the business growth and success.

The Role Primary duties for the role are: Accounting Functions Lead and motivate the accounting team, providing coaching and support. Oversee all accounting and financial functions of the business. Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports. Review BAS/IAS and ensure timely lodgement. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory obligations. Manage accounting policies and procedures, recommend necessary improvements and implement the changes. Review weekly payroll, payroll system settings, monthly payroll tax and worker comp renewals. Identify opportunities for continuous improvements in accounting processes. Business Finance Liaise with the bank regarding finance proposals, facilities, and the annual review of funding limits. Optimise business funding solutions for CapEx and security requirements related to projects. Manage annual renewal of group insurance portfolios. Reporting Prepare monthly management reports and presentations (PPT). Organise monthly operations meetings and present business performance. Assist in preparing annual budget and forecast. Provide accurate and relevant financial information to support effective financial business partnering. About You To be successful in the role, you will require the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience working in a financial accounting environment. Excellent judgment, management, and negotiation skills, and business acumen. A self-motivated hard worker who can problem solve efficiently. Reliable, trustworthy and collaborative – team player. Highly developed communication skills and a clear understanding of the professional ethical and legal responsibilities relevant to the position. Skills & Qualifications Degree in Accounting (or associated Finance qualification). CA or CPA or equivalent membership. Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role. Construction Industry experience is highly regarded, but not essential. Advanced Excel and computer skills. Knowledge of MYOB Advanced (preferred but not essential).
