We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Consultant to join this leader in IT services team on a contract basis.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of their network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network design, architecture, and security, with a strong background in Cisco technologies.
Key Responsibilities: Network Design and Architecture: Assess the organization's network infrastructure and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
Design, develop, and document network architecture blueprints, including high-level and low-level network designs.
Define network standards, protocols, and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into network designs.
Network Solution Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security professionals, and software developers, to develop comprehensive network solutions.
Define technical requirements, specifications, and standards for network equipment, protocols, and services.
Conduct proof-of-concept testing and evaluate the feasibility and performance of proposed network solutions.
Design and configure network components, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points, to meet functional and performance requirements.
Network Security: Collaborate with security teams to integrate security controls and mechanisms into network designs.
Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to network security.
Stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies to proactively address network security concerns.
