As a VoIP Network Engineer, you will ensure the seamless operation and performance of VoIP systems for our diverse clientele. You'll work on exciting projects with cutting-edge technology, addressing and resolving network voice-related issues to maintain optimal system performance.
Responsibilities: Install, configure, and administer VoIP systems. Troubleshoot and resolve network voice issues. Identify and implement permanent fixes for network voice system issues. Update documentation as per customer-defined procedures. Troubleshoot and improve performance issues. Manage VoIP hardware like IP phones, softphones, and gateways. Understand and apply TCP/IP, UDP, and other networking protocols. Implement QoS for high-quality voice communications. Configure firewalls and apply network security principles. Support LAN/WAN environments, including VLANs, VPNs, and MPLS. Key Skills: Minimum 6 years of experience in supporting network voice systems. Proficiency with VoIP platforms like Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya, and Asterisk. Strong hands-on experience with VoIP protocols (SIP, WebRTC, RTCP, MRCVP, RTP). Knowledge of network security and firewall configuration. Familiarity with VoIP hardware. Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V). Person Specification: Effective communication and incident management skills. Strong project management and collaboration abilities. Assertive and confident decision-making.
