Key Responsibilities/Duties Under limited direction, this position is responsible for delivering the following functions: Profile and segment audiences though best-practice use of the CRM and advocating audience-needs in work outputs.
Build, send, scale and optimise regular email and SMS campaigns and automated journeys (as briefed by marketing) that drive improved performance, accessibility and efficiency (including A/B testing).
Project and stakeholder coordination of marketing's role in delivering a new CRM system and email platform including extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Define audience data rules and customer data migration processes and depreciating of audience marketing platforms (collaborating with data analyst for technical execution).
In consultation with the Digital Audience Manager and relevant stakeholders, map out customer email journeys that will deliver a frictionless audience experience.
This includes developing the organisation's capture of customer consent, behaviour and personal data at key stages of the customer lifecycle Act as the marketing CRM and email super user.
Service ongoing troubleshooting and roll out marketing and communications team training and documentation.
Safeguard the brand through Privacy and SPAM act compliance and best practice.
Deliver regular email reports and dashboards to measure performance of email as a channel.
Draw insights from this reporting and share to drive team innovation (may include preparing presentations for key forums).
Brief internal developers or agency on building email templates in line with brand and responsive to common device/client combinations.
Develop and execute database acquisition strategies in consultation with Marketing Manager, Digital Audience Manager and any other relevant stakeholders.
Selection Criteria The successful candidate will demonstrate their capacity against the following: Demonstrated ability to innovate and iterate email marketing to create frictionless experiences including automation and personalisation techniques.
Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to advocate marketing requirements to technical specialists and translate technical concepts to marketing specialists.
Ability to interpret and analyse large, complex data to identify trends and drivers of audience behaviour and present findings accurately to senior management.
Experience in producing project artefacts and various business as usual documentation.
About the National Film and Sound Archive The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) is Australia's audiovisual archive, telling the national story by collecting, preserving and sharing audiovisual media, the cultural experience platforms of our time.
The collection itself dates back to 1935, making it one of the world's oldest audiovisual collections.
It is also one of the country's most used cultural collections, with around 125 million views of collection content each year.

About the Team The Digital Audience team is part of the Marketing, Design and Digital Audiences section of the Marketing and Communications Branch.
The section and Branch collaborate across our Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne offices.
The team supports NFSA's vision to be Australia's most dynamic and valued cultural organisation by driving best-practice, data-led audience experiences to grow and diversify the Australians who engage with our Collection.
The Opportunity The Email and CRM Marketing Specialist plays a key role in growing our audience database and increasing engagement of the Collection via email automation and personalisation.
This position relates to a digital marketer with extensive experience in harnessing customer relationship management (CRM) systems and email platforms to create audience-first, frictionless experiences.
The Email and CRM Marketing Specialist will be curious, insight driven and champion a personalised one-to-one communications approach.
Mandatory: Minimum 2+ years' experience working with CRM systems.
Desirable: 2+ years' experience in developing data-driven personalised and automated email programs.
Experience with Google Analytics and Looker Dashboards.
