We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Forklift Driver / Yard Hand to join our dedicated team.
This position is a critical role to the operations of Murrell Freight Services, serving as a vital link between our Transport Operations Team, Transport Fleet, and our customers.
This role is essential for the efficient loading and unloading of freight at our facilities, as well as the effective planning and consolidation of freight in the depot and warehouses.
The primary goal is to ensure that vehicle turnaround times are minimised, contributing to the smooth flow of transport operations.
The role also includes other related tasks and movements as required, with a focus on maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
What the Role Entails:Safely and efficiently operate forklifts for loading, unloading, and moving freight within the yard and warehouse.Perform various manual tasks including lifting, stacking, and sorting freight, assisting with stock transfers, and moving equipment as required.Keep the warehouse and yard clean and organised, including sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining a hazard-free environment.Assist with the efficient loading and unloading of vehicles, support drivers with load restraints and tarping, and move trucks and trailers within the yard when needed.Embrace opportunities for learning and development, with the potential to grow within the business.Work collaboratively with a diverse team to maintain a safe, efficient, and harmonious work environment.Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, proactively addressing any safety concerns.About You:You hold a current forklift license.MSIC card is highly preferable but not essential.You have experience in a fast-paced transport and warehousing environment, with a strong understanding of transport and safety compliance.Strong time management skills and a positive work ethic.Proactive in variety of duties required, including but not limited to – manual labour, cleaning of the warehouse duties etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
