In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the DVC & VP Education's office, managing internal and external relations while delivering strategic advice on institutional and government policy developments. With the launch of Western Sydney University's new strategy, there will be exciting initiatives for the Division of Education to deliver and you can be part of this.You will be responsible for leading and coordinating major programs of work and projects. The role involves providing strategic and policy advice on government, sector, and institutional issues, and conducting high-level analysis to prepare reports, submissions, and briefings for the DVC & VP Education and senior leaders. A significant part of your role will include overseeing the preparation of strategic and operational plans for the Division, while collaborating with senior leaders across the University to ensure an integrated approach to educational goals. In this role, you will supervise a Senior Executive Officer and Senior Executive Assistant, ensuring the DVC & VP Education is well supported in driving the University's education transformation agenda.About YouWe are looking for a strategic thinker with extensive experience in executive management, research, and policy analysis within a large, complex organisation. You will have strong capabilities in strategic planning, project management, and delivering high-level advice and reports. Your ability to engage with senior leaders, build positive relationships, and provide insights into sector trends will be crucial to your success in this role.You will have a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline, along with extensive experience conducting detailed research and analysis for executive-level reporting. Your proven ability to manage complex projects and provide strategic advice will be key, as will your excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write executive-level reports and policy documentation.
