The Opportunity Reporting to the 3D Team Lead, the Senior 3D Modeller will be responsible for conversion and optimisation of 3D engineering data, creation of 3D media content including high and low polygon models, textures and animations to support architectural and engineering visualisations and interactive real-time virtual and augmented reality applications.
You will apply technical principles involved with real-time rendering to support 3D media content delivered in a gaming engine interface. You will work closely with 3D application developers to optimise models and application performance, along with providing technical guidance to application developers and less experienced 3D modellers.
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
Using 3DS Max, create 3D models for use in desktop, AR and VR training products.Work with established visual styles and assets to produce models for use in desktop/AR/VR that are consistent with existing content.Conversion and optimisation of 3D engineering data.Creation of 3D media content, including high and low polygon models, textures and animations to support interactive real-time virtual training.Applying technical principles involved with real-time rendering to support 3D media content delivered in a gaming engine interface.Use computers, software packages and office equipment efficiently and effectively to meet routine needs.Develop and maintain appropriate technical ability e.g. current technologies.Accurately deal with instructions, messages, minutes, document registration etc.Prioritise workload to routinely meet negotiated deadlines and ensure internal client needs are satisfied.Enjoy the confidence of internal clients and other contacts.Show a good understanding of grammar and editing requirements.Meet with internal requirements for processes such as document registration and control.Who are you? To be successful in the position you will need the ability to create 3D models from architectural drawings or Revit models and have a solid foundational understanding of architectural, landscaping and detail drawings in an infrastructure context.
Other requirements: Must be an Australian.Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.Experience creating animation sequences in Unreal Engine and Unity.Demonstrated skills in 3D visualisation model design development, creation and application of realistic materials, mapping and lighting to scene files, and preparation of camera angles and animations.An understanding of versioning control using GIT or Azure DevOps.Experience 3D modelling for real-time.Experience with hard surface modelling in a commercial environment (experience optimising/tessellating CAD data for real-time 3D modelling).3D application and visualisation production pipeline experience.Examples of your work (online folio only).Who are we?
