About The Role
The primary role of this position is to carry out minor building works needed to modify a person's home to better suit their individual needs under the operation of a valid building license. This can range from installing a simple grab rail to completing a minor renovation or extension of a person's home, and consistently completed in a professional, timely, and efficient manner exercised through 3Bridges core values and essential behaviours.
General Duties:
Assess, prioritise, and carry out minor home modification and maintenance requests related to carpentry and building. Assist trade team members with various Home Modifications service. Quote work requests in consultation with the Home Modifications team. Consult with referral agencies on the installation of modifications. Administration:
Maintain daily records of work performed, job costs, and client details. Promptly provide completed job costs to the Business Support Officer for invoicing. Assist in material and equipment ordering, verifying invoices for purchased items. Liaise with stakeholders during contract execution. Organisational Responsibilities & Compliance:
Ensure works comply with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and WHS and QA guidelines. Ensure all works align with Occupational Therapists' specifications. Client Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs and concerns. Provide exceptional customer service, especially when working with elderly or vulnerable individuals. Educate clients on electrical safety practices. About You
5 years experience working as a carpenter in construction (preferably residential). Have completed a minimum Cert III in Construction. Valid Building License. Valid NSW working with Children Check clearance and NDIS Workers Screening Check. Possess practical expertise in relevant trade skills. Demonstrate the ability to efficiently program and coordinate building projects concurrently. An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Quality Assurance (QA) management, and compliance with trades regulations. Knowledge of the CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Programme) and NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) National Guidelines, specifically related to Home Modification and Maintenance. Capable of fostering partnerships with networks, providers, internal and external stakeholders to enhance and expand services. About 3Bridges
