Job Summary:As Project Engineer, you will interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.
Major Responsibilities:Supervises the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a small project, or designated portions of a project, for a global business unitPlans and directs engineering assignments on the projectPossesses technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignmentsEnsures the facilities are designed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner in accordance with policies and all applicable laws, regulations, authorization basis, codes, standards and technical requirementsRepresents Engineering on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions, expedite procurements, coordinate construction interfaces and as required to coordinate workEnsures work process execution and technical adequacy are in accordance with contract and industry standardsCoordinates engineering effort with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) and Project ControlsPrepares or directs the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports and project scope of worksProvides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project executionEducation and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
