These changes will slash travel times and improve public transport in Melbourne's east.Laing O'Rourke is part of the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance with Major Road Projects Victoria, Symal, Arcadis, and WSP.
Our scope of work includes a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, major road and bridge upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road, smart traffic management technology upgrades, and new noise protection to meet Victoria's toughest traffic noise standards.
The local community will also benefit from new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve, and revitalised wetlands and open spaces.About the roleWe are currently seeking a Planner to join us on the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance.
This is your opportunity to provide and implement support to the planning & project controls process and best practice on the project.Key responsibilitiesCompliance with Process & Best PracticeMaintenance of programme and other time-related materialContribution to the production of robust Project Controls and accurate reporting and forecastingContribute to short-term and long-term planning activitiesSupport of planning activities prior and during scheduled occupationsExecute time-related issues in the ContractAssist in the development of programmes throughout all project stagesMaintain programme and other time-related material that ensures that the sequence and timing of all operations are considered/optimised for successful project completion within the required time constraintsUnderstand and communicate the sequence of activities that are critical for the delivery of the project and the consequences of not completing other planned activitiesImplementation of robust Project Controls and accurate reporting and forecastingAbout youSolid experience in Project Planning & Scheduling on large-scale construction projects.Existing knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processesExcellent communication skills and stakeholder management skillsTertiary or Trade Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying, and/or Project/Construction ManagementWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
