The Opportunity Due to healthy growth within the College we have an exciting opportunities for passionate and experienced Secondary Classroom Teachers to join our Team on a permanent, full-time basis. We are particularly seeking teachers with passion for and capacity to teach English/Humanities and Mathematics/Science across Year 7 to Year 12 for a Term 1, 2025 start - however we are open to receiving Expressions of Interest from other subject experts who may be the perfect cultural fit for our amazing Team.

The role of Secondary Classroom Teacher is to provide quality instruction within the College's Christian worldview and in accordance with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
Understand the philosophy of Christian Education and translate it into practice. Plan and prepare effective, quality teaching and learning programs and practices, which are consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and the College's pedagogical framework and policies. Create a nurturing and engaging learning environment, which is inclusive, learner-centered and academically stimulating. Add value to the educational experience by initiating and leading curricular and extra-curricular activities which provide excellent opportunities for students to develop Christian character and grow to their full potential intellectually, physically, spiritually and socially. Remuneration and Benefits As a Secondary Classroom Teacher at Calvary Christian College, you will receive an above-Award salary between $85,000 and $113,000 pending experience , and a range of great benefits, including:

About You To be successful in this role, you will have a current Queensland Teachers Registration or the ability to obtain one with the appropriate qualifications and the availability for a Term 1, 2025 start. As a Secondary Classroom Teacher at Calvary Christian College, you will have experience which demonstrates excellent, current classroom teaching techniques and practices that meet diverse needs and learning styles of students and are consistent with relevant curriculum and policies.
You will have:
Proven ability to create a culture of learning and achievement through effective planning, student management, classroom resource organisation and engaging learning strategies. Exemplary professional manner, interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Enthusiastic desire and resolute commitment to actively contribute to the culture and values of the College. Proficient level of computer literacy with proven capacity in MS Office Suite, and other software/programs in common use for education. Is this you?
