Coastal Location Relocation Assistance Training Hospital Charterhouse Medical are partnering with Tasmania Health Service to support the General Medicine department.
An opportunity has arisen to join a highly proficient Medicine department as a Medical/General Medicine Registrar or Senior Registrar with the option to rotate through sub-specialties: General Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Respiratory, Rehabilitation, Haematology, Renal, and Gastroenterology.
Commencement dates: February 2025 or September 2025 (flexible if commencing between/after these dates) Contract length: 12+ months, opportunity to extend Salary: $131,000 - $183,500 + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging (based on 86 hrs fortnight) Relocation assistance: Visa support if required (482) with consideration to a PR visa in the future Relocation funds to use for flights, accommodation, car hire etc. This position will serve as a Medical Practitioner in the primary referral hospital for the region, which translates to encounters with high-acuity cases and a diverse range of clinical experiences.

The Facility: This 400-bed Tertiary Teaching Facility is renowned for its acute care capabilities, catering to over 24,000 inpatients and more than 225,000 outpatients each year. The bustling Emergency Department, equipped with 43 treatment beds, accommodates an annual influx of over 45,000 patients and maintains an admission rate of 35%. This accredited hospital maintains a close-knit partnership with the University of Tasmania through its clinical school.
