We seek applications from candidates who collaborate effectively, seek and provide feedback, and demonstrate innovative learning facilitation strategies.The College seeks suitably qualified individuals for the following Teacher Aide roles at the commencement of the 2025 academic school year:Primary SchoolLower Primary School Teacher Aide (Prep – Year 3)Upper Primary School Teacher Aide (Year 4 – Year 6)Learning Support Teacher Aide (Lower Primary)Learning Support Teacher Aide (Primary with substantial needs)The successful candidates will have demonstrated previous experience working with students in a school setting for the areas required above.These positions are full-time (5 days per week) term-time only and commence on Wednesday 22 January 2025.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the supervision of educational activities under the direction of the classroom teacher, learning support teacher or Head of School.Utilise strategies to encourage and prompt students to engage in their learning.Assist with the preparation of learning materials under the guidance of classroom teachers.Assist in the maintenance of individual student's records and journals to ensure all student's interests and developmental needs are met.Playground support or supervision of students.Selection CriteriaTo be successful for this role, you will have:Relevant qualifications and experience related to special needs, learning support, and differentiating curriculum (Minimum of Certificate III in Education Support / Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent).A strong understanding of the developmental needs of students.Willingness to run small group intervention sessions.Ability to meet deadlines, priorities, competing work demands and provide a high quality level of service.Demonstrated personal and interpersonal skills that enhance positive relationships with all members of the community especially support staff, teaching staff and students.Display confidentiality, tact and sensitivity around students, their families, and staff.Proficient use of ICT within the role and classroom.Hold a current Working with Children Check prior to commencement.Demonstrated understanding of a range of challenges students may face in the educational setting and how this impacts students ability to access and participate in learning.Demonstrated knowledge of intervention programs and strategies that can be used to support students with additional needs when learning and socialising.How to ApplyYour application should include your resume plus a brief cover letter addressed to the Principal, stating how you meet the Selection Criteria.
