Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is established in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga, between Sydney and Melbourne. Our dedicated team of nearly 3,000 staff supports a population of 250,000 people throughout North-East Victoria and Southern NSW. Our extensive network encompasses two primary hospital campuses, and an additional 22 sites, delivering a diverse range of emergency, community, mental health, allied health and sub-acute services.
About the role
AWH invites Occupational Therapists and Social Workers wishing to pursue a career in Mental Health to apply for our Mental Health Allied Health graduate program. Our comprehensive 2 year program will provide a supportive learning environment to guide you as you transition from novice to confident and skilled Mental Health Clinician. We offer:
A supportive team environment
Rotations through our Mental Health Adult Acute & Continuing Care units and Specialist Community teams that provide Mental Health support across the lifespan
Regular individual and group clinical supervision
Dedicated educational support from the Allied Health Educators, the Mental Health Professional Development and Practice team as well as experienced Mentors and Clinicians across the service
Duration: 2-year contract starting in February 2025 (with ongoing permanent recruitment on successful completion)
• Full-time employment in a supported mental health graduate program.
• Supportive Orientation program including Supernumerary days
• Workshops to support your development as a Mental Health Clinician across the 2 year Program
• Additional paid study days and support to complete the Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (through our partnership with La Trobe University)
• Structured Post Graduate Mental Health Career Pathway.

• A relocation Navigator to support you with your relocation (if applicable)
Candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria to be eligible to apply:
Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy or Social Work
AHPRA registration (OT) prior to commencement or eligibility for membership with AASW
