Our school opened in 2022 and is growing steadily, living up to this ambition. In 2025, the College has Year 7 - 10 student cohorts. We will add a year level every year following. In 2025, the College adds the Year 10 cohort and commences our program planning for senior secondary options to ensure all students have excellent opportunities and outcomes after their schooling.
At Greenvale Secondary College, we focus on supporting individual students wherever they are at in their learning and social development, to ensure our students can feel successful and challenged to be their best. We offer extension and enrichment, as well as interventions and dedicated support for students who need it.

Selection CriteriaDemonstrated knowledge and expertise in the area of inclusive education and supporting learners with additional needs, including the capacity to work directly with students who have complex behavioural and learning needs.Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to school staff in respect to the area of disability inclusion and support.Demonstrated capacity to work and collaborate with others in a team environment and demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively in a team environment, including high level oral and written communication skills.Capacity to support and develop positive working relationships with staff, parents, and students, particularly those with significant disabilities.Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving with a resilient outlook towards supporting students with complex needs.RoleMonday 8.30am - 4.30pm Tuesday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm Support to StudentsAssist students with specific learning needs and help with coordinating routines.Assist students with tasks as set out by the teacher instructing them and ensuring they understand the task at hand.Communicate with teachers regarding student needs and behavioural issues.Attend excursions or camps as required.Be an advocate and champion for students with disability and additional needs and work with school staff to implement strategies for supporting the education of these students.Play a key role in supporting students with disability and additional needs to make a smooth transition to Greenvale Secondary College.Ensure the student has a voice in setting learning targets during the IEP process.Promote a culture of high expectations and aspirations for the learning of students with disability or additional needs.AdministrationAttend meetings (SSG) as requested, giving feedback on student progress.Take minutes of all meetings for the Disability Inclusion Team Leader and distribute to relevant people.Assist with various administrative tasks as directed.Prep activities, visual aids and other material required by the students for their class.Support in the facilitation of homework club, small literacy and numeracy groups and breakfast club/lunches for students.Act as a source of advice for staff about differentiated teaching strategies appropriate for individual students with disability and with additional needs.ResponsibilitiesThe Inclusion Support Staff member will ensure students with disability and additional needs are engaged in education and meeting their learning goals. To do this they work collaboratively with the school's teaching team, wellbeing staff, and allied health team.
