Whitsunday Anglican School is in a period of exciting growth, and we are currently seeking expressions of interest from outstanding educators to lead and grow our Sports and Activities Programmes.
Job tasks and responsibilities The Head of Sports and Activities is a leadership role with a reduced teaching load within the School, and is responsible for managing, resourcing, leading and delivering an extensive and dynamic sports and activities programme across P – 12, that encompasses sport, the Arts and academic co-curricular activity programmes that enhance the life of the School.
Leadership and communication with the co-curricular coordinators and the Heads of Sub-Schools regarding the delivery of these programmes will be an ongoing responsibility.
The successful applicant must have the ability to teach HPE, Business and Christian Education in the Senior School.
Candidate Profile Relevant tertiary qualifications.Demonstrated high-level organisational, networking and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated use of initiative, with the ability to anticipate the needs of a School organisation.A team player with strong interpersonal skills, who has the ability to engage and inspire, and work collaboratively with a Head of Sport and Activities Administration support person.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to coordinate multi-channels of communication to a wide network of internal and external stakeholders.Excellent public relations skills and a demonstrated background in positive liaison with colleagues, parents, external providers, and community groups.Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a diversity of personnel.Ability to continue building on our sporting programmes, and a genuine interest in the holistic benefits of a strong sports and activities programme within a school.Must have QCT registration or the ability to do so.Expressions of interest should be addressed to:
