You are provided extensive safety training and development as an entry level Safety Specialist towards becoming an exceptional safety leader.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systemsSupport management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state lawsConduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductionsResponsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomicsAvailable to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekendsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Completed a tertiary qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate) in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) within the last 24 months
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSInterest in or previous experience in safety related employmentStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, especially around health and safety needs to all levels of the organizationAbility to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategyStrong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving abilityPrior internship experience in OH&S (desirable)Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
