Location Profile Lyndhurst Primary School (LPS) is located in the Marriott Waters Estate in Lyndhurst. The school opened for all levels, Prep-6, in 2011. Currently, there are 950 students in 2024.

Lyndhurst Primary School is part of a partnership agreement between the Victorian State Government and Axiom Education. The Department of Education and Training leases the property from the private consortium over a 25-year lease period.

A school for the community LPS is a school that includes and embraces its local community. We welcome contributions from parents and the community in the education of our children.

The Lyndhurst community is highly diverse, with approximately 60% of our students listing English as their second language, representing 50 language groups and 45 countries of birth.

Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will support the Principal in establishing a strong and positive culture in the early stages of our developing school. Significant work may be required during the vacation break in January for successful induction.

Role The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges: range 1 and range 2. The primary focus is on planning, preparation, and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes.

Responsibilities The role of classroom teacher includes:

Direct teaching of groups and individual students Contributing to the development and evaluation of a curriculum area Participating in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties Who May Apply Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum areas.
