CASUAL OPPORTUNITIES - SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING The School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is seeking Casual Lecturers to join its teaching team in Semester 1, 2025. Salary: Casual rate of $49.26 to $68.41 (dependent on qualification and activity) per hour plus an employer contribution of 11% superannuation will apply. This opportunity is suitable for those with experience in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering domains. Each position includes the delivery of all lectures and workshops for one or part course. The teaching period is March 2025 to June 2025 and will be based at our North Terrace Campus.
Reporting to the Associate Head of Learning and Teaching (operations), each role will deliver in one of the following courses in Semester 1, 2025:
ELEC ENG 2102 Electric Energy ConversionELEC ENG 4058 Power Quality & Condition MonitoringENG 3004 Systems Engineering & Industry Practice (systems engineering)MECH ENG 4064 Renewable Power Technologies (fluid power technologies)MECH ENG 4080 Modern Control SystemsMECH ENG 7046 Submarine DesignELEC ENG 3101 ControlTo be successful you will need: PhD or Masters Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent industry experience.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the subject matter.Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver student-centred learning and teaching activities at an undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the capacity to incorporate new technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning.Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.Be located in Adelaide during the teaching semester.The ideal candidate has a natural passion for teaching with a demonstrated modern approach to education.
