Casual Opportunities – School of Architecture and Civil Engineering
The Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET)is a thriving centre of learning, teaching and research in a vast range of engineering and science schools and disciplines. The School of Architecture and Civil Engineering is one of Australia's leading educators across the disciplines of Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The school offers a stimulating environment in which to work, and leaders within the school are dedicated to providing a rewarding work environment that recognises the contribution of all staff.
We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to assist with the delivery of our Semester 1 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, semester commencing Monday 3 March 2025.

Please view the available courses through the application form, to determine what area of work offerings are being made available for individual courses (ie. other academic activity, marking etc).
Ensure you meet the essential criteria:
Conferral of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field
Good technical knowledge of the key teaching components of the courses you are applying for
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical information to students
Available and flexible to meet the minimum hourly/sessional requirements for the course
Able to work collegially to support excellent teaching within the School
Are an Australian citizen or possess eligible Australian working visa*

Consider the desired criteria:
Conferral of a postgraduate degree in a relevant field
Teaching qualifications or formal training
Previous experience with casual work within the School
Demonstrated ability to educate or mentor students
Evidence of good student feedback in student evaluations
Evidence of good feedback from course coordinators
