The homestead is situated on Lake Idamea, providing a unique station lifestyle experience.The roleThe Bore Runner / Machinery Operator reports to the Station Manager and is responsible for maintaining water supplies and associated infrastructure for livestock across the station. A varied role where you will split your time across Bore Running and Machinery Operations, maintaining property roads, undertaking property maintenance, drainage works, and erosion control, and assisting the crew when needed with ad hoc general station duties.Day to day duties include, but are not limited to:Operating Grader to maintain roads, drainage works and erosion controlMachinery operations for property maintenanceMaintaining machinery in good working orderUndertaking mechanical prestart and general maintenanceMonitoring and maintaining water supplies and associated infrastructure for livestockChecking on stockMaintaining fencesWorking alone and unsupervisedPerforming your job safely and operating equipment in a safe mannerUndertaking ad hoc varied station tasks as requiredIdeally the successful candidate will:Have experience working as a Bore Runner or similarHave experience operating a Grader, Loader, Dozer and other machineryHave good mechanical knowledge of equipment desirableHold a current C class driver's licenceBe a self-starter that is able to work autonomously and unsupervisedPrior mechanical experience would be highly regardedBe committed to working safely in accordance with NAPCo's HSE policies and proceduresEmployee benefitsPermanent full-time positionOnsite single air-conditioned accommodationA competitive day rate, generous annual leave entitlements, season completion bonusWe invest heavily in on-the-job training and all staff are offered and encouraged to complete a traineeship in Agriculture.NAPCo stations have a great social environment and give all employees the chance to attend our annual Station Challenge, ad-hoc campdrafts, sports days, fishing, camping etc.Applications will close on 29th November 2024.
