2025 Apprentice CNC Machine Operator and Programmer Intake Elphinstone Pty Ltd is an authorised Caterpillar OEM and a leading manufacturer of quality products for the global underground and surface mining industries. We are seeking to employ multiple CNC Machine Operator and Programmers to work at our Wivenhoe and Wynyard, Tasmania sites.
About the Role Our apprentices will work across the Yellow Iron and Defence Machining teams during the apprenticeship. They will develop their technical and leadership skills in an on-the-job environment with experienced tradespeople and leaders. Responsibilities include:
Reading and interpreting technical drawings Reading and writing G-code Using CAM software to operate large multiaxis machine centres Maintaining tight tolerances and using specialised measuring equipment Learning multiple machine operating systems The apprenticeship will result in a qualification of Certificate III Engineering- Mechanical Trade.
