Women's and Children's Health Network, Surgical Services, Paediatric Orthopaedics North Adelaide (5006)SalaryClassification - MDP2 - Medical Practitioner - $89,253 to $144,291Full time - Term Contract (temporary up to 2 Feb 2025)About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Orthopaedics team as an Orthopaedic Surgery Registrar, where you will be responsible for:
The Orthopaedic Registrar will contribute to the provision of clinical services to WCHN inpatients and outpatients under Consultant supervision. The Orthopaedic Registrar will demonstrate a commitment to clinical teaching and participate in associated research projects.The Registrar will participate in the on-call roster, which is shared between the fellow and 4 registrars.The Registrar will be required to operate a Fluoroscope if licensing can be obtained.About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.Minimum 4 years satisfactory experience as an Intern/Resident Medical Officer/Registrar in a recognised teaching hospital.Extensive clinical experience and competence in the practice of Orthopaedic Surgery.Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service to the patient.Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.Significant experience with teaching and research programs.What WCHN Can Offer You Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.Access to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a wide choice of gyms and pools across South Australia.)Free Public Transport for SA Health Metropolitan Hospital Workers.Access to generous leave provisions and professional development opportunities.Support for you and your family via our Employee Assistance Program.You may be eligible for financial support if you are considering relocating from interstate or overseas.
