We are currently looking to fill 3 x permanent full time positions working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:00am-4:00pm with a 9 day fortnight, based at the Woollamia Works Depot.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Team Supervisor – Basin Maintenance, the focus of this position is to:
Undertake manual tasks using hand tools, including the operation of small plant items, for the minor construction and/or maintenance of assets as directed.Assist in Council responses to emergencies and other operational needs, including being available for 'call back'.Projects and asset types may include, but are not limited to, roads and road related infrastructure, drainage, kerb & gutter, bus shelters, footpaths / cycleways / walking tracks, parking areas, traffic facilities, bridges, boat ramps, fences, recreational facilities, seawalls, viewing platforms, parks & reserves and flood mitigation assets.Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, you are required to have:
School Certificate or equivalentExperience in civil construction and/or maintenance activitiesNSW Class C Driver's Licence or equivalent licence valid in NSWCurrent NSW General Construction Induction card (white card) or acceptable interstate alternativeWe are looking for someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work, and can demonstrate commitment to working within a team and adhering to safe work practices.
