They have recently undertaken a large-scale transformation drive across all back office functions, including Payroll, Finance, Technology, and HR.
Due to multiple active Payroll projects, we are recruiting TWO Payroll Compliance/ Audit specialists to join the team on a contract basis.The role: Reporting to the Head of Payroll, as Payroll Compliance & Audit specialist you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of Payroll data across the business, including a wage remediation program and upcoming Workday implementation.
This involves meticulously validating wage remediation outcomes, overseeing the accurate and complete collection of timesheets, payroll, and other business data, and collaborating with external consultants and internal stakeholders (C-Level to junior levels) on highly complex and detailed employee entitlement matters.Responsibilities include:Delivering the payroll validation phase in a remediation process, ensuring it aligns with legal standardsCoordinating with external consultants, HR, finance, and legal teams to ensure a cohesive approachSupporting the Payroll Manager in the identification and solving of complex employee entitlement matters identified during payroll validationLiaising with Auditors as required for compliance audit reviews, on an ongoing basisIdentification and problem-solving in a collaborative team environment on enterprise agreement matters, business practices, and other complex employee entitlement mattersEnsuring accurate remediation calculations are delivered via a complex multilayered modelSupporting highly sensitive employee concerns and queries throughout the remediation processIdentifying root causes of business issues and recommending system and process changesSupporting the delivery of future-proofing compliance activitiesPreparing for and managing any regulatory scrutiny or audits related to the projectIdentifying control or compliance issues, and making recommendations to enhance payroll and timekeeping practicesAbout the candidate: You are an experienced Payroll professional with many years of interpreting multiple awards and adhering to payroll legislation.
You have had previous experience analyzing and auditing existing award interpretations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ideally, you have worked through a remediation project and understand the sensitivity of your output.
You can also display:Demonstrated extensive experience in employee and payroll-related legislation and complianceDemonstrated capacity to develop policies and procedures related to employee entitlementsDemonstrated capacity to articulate complex and specialist matters in a clear and concise mannerA demonstrated high level of understanding of equal opportunity principles and a commitment to the application of EEO policies in a business contextTwo positions are currently available on a contract basis, between 6 - 12 months.
However, there is a very strong chance that the contracts will be extended beyond their initial period.
Depending on your previous levels of experience, a salary between $150k - $200k package is on offer, with flexible WFH options (2/3 days office-based).
