1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for students, particularly those with special educational needs. This position requires a nurturing individual who is passionate about working with children, including those with autism, and is committed to fostering an inclusive environment.
Roles: Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and educational activities. Provide support to children with special educational needs, particularly Autism, ensuring their individual requirements are met. Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging communication and interaction among students. Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies to promote positive conduct. Collaborate with teachers to develop tailored educational plans for students requiring additional support. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behaviour. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education. Requirements: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or autism, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and staff. A genuine passion for educating and nurturing young minds. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards children's learning processes.
