The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced VR GP to work in our medical centre located in Wollongong, NSW.
This medical centre is supported by CDM trained nurses, as well as dedicated administrative, operational and marketing support. The medical centre is centrally located within the Wollongong CBD, and features 12 spacious consult rooms, a 3 bay treatment room, a dedicated procedure room, x-ray facilities and a well established pharmacy.
The Location
Located in coastal southern NSW, the city of Wollongong is supremely situated to take advantage of the New South Wales seaboard and the string of beautiful beaches up and down the coast in either direction.
Just back of the coast lies the Illawarra Escarpment, a large plateau dominated by several distinctive peaks which provide a striking backdrop to the city and the surrounding communities; these peaks include Mt Keira, Mt Kembla, Broker’s Nose, and Mt Murray. As the mountains lie within a nature reserve, they provide a quick escape from the rat-race for Wollongong’s residents, with many popular bushwalks that climb through temperate rainforest and dry sclerophyll bush to lookouts which afford stunning views of the coast.
The city itself is modern and attractive, with a population of some 300,000 people, making it one of Australia’s largest non-capital cities. The large population has ensured that Wollongong has a wide range of services, shops, entertainment venues and schools – and with Sydney a commutable distance away by car, bus or train, this location will not leave you wanting for anything.
