ABOUT THE COMPANY.

My client is a well-established civil contractor with a strong presence in the ACT.
Specialising in subdivisions and roadworks, they are committed to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects while prioritising safety and efficiency.
With a growing pipeline of work in the region, they are seeking a dedicated WHS Coordinator to ensure safety excellence across their projects.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a WHS Coordinator, you will be responsible for health, safety, and compliance across multiple projects in the ACT.
You'll work closely with project teams to implement WHS procedures, conduct site audits, and lead safety training to create a safe working environment for all.

DUTIES. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance across subdivisions and roadworks.Develop and implement safety management systems and procedures.Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and WHS training for workers and contractors.Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with site teams and Project Managers to address safety risks.Maintain and update WHS documentation and prepare reports for management.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. Proven experience in a WHS role within civil construction, particularly in subdivisions and roadworks.Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum requirement).Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance, and best practices.Exceptional communication and leadership skills to engage and educate teams.Experience in conducting safety investigations and implementing improvements.Ability to manage safety compliance across multiple projects.CULTURE.
