Facilitates the smooth flow of goods into and out of the depot.Job Duties/Essential FunctionsExperience in Sort processes and proceduresSupervising the hand sort process and also clamping process, ensuring staff are completing work as per procedure and auditing errorsRuns options RWR and CSC through AS400 to ensure random weight products are received correctlySchedules and coordinates daily activities of employees. Coordinates employee breaks, lunches and side tasksWalks depot floor to monitor employee productivity, safety and ensure smooth flow of goods in and out of the depotCommunicates with other areas of the depotCommunicates with respective warehouses as neededEnsures the priority stock or coupon items are in respective shipping lanes and follows them throughCoordinates and participates in daily maintenance checklistsMonitors equipment and checks that equipment is shut off at the end of the dayChecks facility, safety, security, cleanliness and accounts for employees in building for opening and closing shiftsObserves employee performance and paperwork to determine that depot procedures are followedDrafts and participates in presentation of employee performance evaluationsEnsures the depot is maintained in accordance with Depot's safety protocolsAssists other departments when necessaryMust be willing and able to work on SaturdaysMust be willing to cross train and must be versatile to work in both DRY & WET and in different departments as per business needsMust have warehousing experience and be physically fitCold Storage/Distribution experience is an advantage. Chiller/Freezer temperature work requiredAbility to operate vehicles, equipment or machineryForklift, EPJ, Computer, printer, phone, calculator, handheld two-way radio.Non-Essential functionsAssists in other departments where necessary.Qualifications:Education/Training: Higher School Certificate preferred.Licenses/Certifications: Must have Forklift LicenceKnowledge/Skills: Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills. Knowledge of WH&S in everyday occupational situationsOther Skills and Abilities: Previous experience in supervisory roles.
