ABOUT THIS ROLE We currently require a Web Software Developer with a NV1 security clearance to join our team on a permanent basis. This varied role is essential to the success of the business. A background in Defence is essential as well as a positive attitude and the flexibility to take on tasks that may be outside of your job description. This position will report to the Software Development Stream Lead.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop secure, high quality browser-based applications with accompanying automated unit tests and automated integration tests
Participate in planning activities
Input into aspects of the design of applications with accompanying documentation.
Participate in peer code reviews using agreed processes and tools
Assist with software design
Integration of applications via REST with COTS products i.e. VMWare products, Git, and Artifactory
Contribute to the development of junior developers.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDEDAt least 10 years development experience in the creation of (Web) browser based graphical user interfaces and Web Service/REST API design and development in a Visual Studio/DotNET/Angular ecosystem.
CI/CD knowledge
Have a detailed understanding of the best practice usage of software design patterns in an n-tier environment
Familiarity with a variety of markup languages for messaging and application configuration
Familiarity with Containerisation technologies and database access/manipulation
Playbook development for automating the configuration of Windows and Linux machines is desirable
Hold or have the ability to gain and maintain and NV1 security clearance
