Permanent opportunity with a wide range of additional benefitsCoach, Mentor and Develop a diverse teamMon-Fri Role with opportunity to partake in a 9 day fortnightBus In; Bus Out from DarwinAbout the role We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our ERA site services team, to provide direct supervision of the daily warehouse operations.
This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and safety conscious individual to lead a team of warehousing personnel, and to network with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value to the Rio Tinto operations.
Reporting to the Site Services Superintendent, you will be:
Supervising a team and providing direction in the safe and efficient operation of the warehouseBuilding and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders to align on operational plans and strategies.Communicating with our freight partners to maintain efficient operationsWorking closely with the Inventory Officer on a day-to-day basis, managing bulk commodities such as Diesel and AcidsDriving effective cost management initiatives by identifying & implementing cost-saving opportunitiesParticipating in the preparation of accurate weekly reports and assigning tasks to team membersManaging the day-to-day operations through SAPCoaching, mentoring and driving the use of safety systems within the teamChampioning continuous improvement by identifying and implementing changes to optimize warehouse operations.Willing to support the site services team outside the warehouse when opportunities ariseAbout you To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
A Current "C Class" Manual Driver's LicenseStrong SAP/ERP experienceExperience in a similar role and/or Minimum of 5 years' experience in working in a supervisory or coordinator role in supply, warehousing, or logisticsExperience in supply management of bulk commodities such as Diesel and AcidsIt will also be beneficial if you have: Cert IV in WarehousingKnowledge of transport legislationWhat we offer Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you've helped the world progress.
