Administrative Officer 6 (Remuneration Package $110,731 - $123,396) Training and Careers Fixed vacancy in Alice Springs The Department of Education's Training & Careers team provide a range of pathways and training services to urban and remote schools in the Central Australia region. This includes Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs delivered to school students through the Department of Education Registered Training Organisation. As part of a wider Central Australia Training & Careers team, the VET Trainer position will deliver quality competency-based and nationally accredited VET training to school age students in urban and remote Central Australia via face-to-face delivery, ensuring compliance with national standards. This role has a focus on supporting students to succeed while meeting VET compliance requirements, Individuals who are passionate about their industry and have a positive attitude towards working with young people will be successful in this role. The role has responsibility for: • delivery of VET qualifications in the industry area of the successful candidate (preferably Hospitality, Engineering or Construction) • development of appropriate resources and materials relevant to the training delivered • engaging with communities and industry to ensure student success • reporting on student outcomes. This is a specialised role that will require industry trade qualifications at a Certificate III or above, with preference for qualifications in hospitality, engineering, or construction. A current qualification in Training and Assessment is an advantage, but support will be provided to the right candidate to upgrade or complete.
