The Role We are growing our National Sales Team and have created an opportunity for a VIC Business Development Manager to join the business and directly influence the continued upward trajectory of revenue and volume growth for both the region and branch network nationally. Melbourne based at our Braeside Depot and Warehouse facility, you will be familiar with the local logistics landscape and be ready equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to hit the ground running in creating opportunities to open all the right doors at the right levels.
Duties Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will contribute significantly to driving revenue and volume growth aligned to the business's strategy and operational capabilities. Undertake research to identify and create new business opportunities. Develop and present detailed proposals and service offers. Collaborate across the internal network to identify and pursue potential opportunities/leads. Build, maintain and leverage relationships of trust, understanding and integrity. Own and administer a Pipeline with focus to a consistent and methodical contact cycle. About you The successful applicant will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience in a Sales or Business Development capacity from within a service industry and a strong understanding of industrial supply chain verticals. Previous experience from within the Transport, Warehousing and Freight Forwarding sectors will be highly regarded. An aptitude for high level influence and negotiation through both a resilient and empathetic approach. The commercial acumen required to analyse transactional and financial data. The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment whilst ensuring quality, compliance and service is maintained. A high level of competency in the full MS Office Suite, in particular Excel. A personality and customer service ethic that both our customers and fellow staff will embrace and which enhances the value of the relationships you will generate, develop and maintain.
