Role Overview UMENCO is currently seeking a Production Manager for a sustainable accessories brand.
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing production schedules, planning, and delivery reports while consistently driving improvements in manufacturing processes to uphold the highest quality standards and operational efficiencies. This role will manage production for both finished goods and raw materials, negotiate costs, and develop sourcing strategies.
As Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating, analyzing, and optimizing production plans and will coordinate weekly critical path meetings with Production Coordinators to ensure deadlines are met, address any risks, and implement corrective actions.
Supplier management is a crucial aspect of this role. You will be responsible for executing brand vendor and sourcing strategies, conducting seasonal reviews and analyses of vendor performance, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
Ethical sourcing and compliance management are also key components of the role. The successful candidate will oversee factory standards, driving ethical sourcing initiatives.
While reporting to the Head of Production, the Production Manager will be supported by and manage the full employment cycle of a team. The ideal candidate will be process-oriented, detail-focused, and possess strong organizational, communication, analytical, and leadership skills, as well as expertise in fabric quality control and Excel.
