About the Role
Our client is a family owned and run company providing various lawn and vegetation management services to state and local government agencies, commercial developers and private clients across southeastern Melbourne.
They are seeking an two skilled and reliable Tractor Drivers on an ongoing casual basis to be a part of their roadside mowing crew servincing the Clyde area. The work is expected to be for a period of approximately 4 months, commencing in November 2024 with long term options available for the right person.
You will need to be experienced in operating John Deere tractors (5000 & 6000series - 90-100hp) with rotary slashers and reach arm flail mowers.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed to a high standard, in a safe manner and reported via the company's online management system. The successful candidates must also work well in a team and carry out tasks independently following direction, be physically fit, punctual and have excellent communication skills.
Primary tasks include, but are not limited to: Tractor Driving - mowing and slashing roadside verges Conducting/participating in onsite safety briefings ensuring work areas are safe and the completion of JSA's. Removing and reporting broken or fallen trees and tree branches Looking out for the safety of self and others Other open space maintenance duties, as required Requirements: Previous experience in the operation of Tractors and grass or hedge management machinery Are physically fit, hard working with a strong work ethic. Current Drivers Licence. The ability to pass a police check. The ability to work safely and promote safety in the workplace. Attention to detail. Problem solving skills. Daily access to a smart phone and ability to operate digital technologies. The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
