Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Controller to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). Based in the sun-bronzed Northern Territory, this is an opportunity to join our expanding Operations team in 2025. This role is a long-term commitment role and is available on a permanent full-time / part-time (job share) basis.
Wood "Operations" delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

Reporting directly to the Materials & Logistics Lead and the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking the effective receipt, storage, movement and control of all materials to support the business and for liaising with other Supply Chain, user groups, third parties, client and Supply Base & Marine contractors to ensure that all materials and equipment are received, marshalled and shipped in accordance with company procedures and internal controls.

Ideally, you will hold upper-secondary (equivalent to ISCED Level 3) qualifications from a recognised institution and have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in materials/logistics within the Oil & Gas industry. You will also have:
Qualifications for dangerous Goods by Sea & Air Manual handling / Forklift licence and experience Varied and detailed work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key material control and logistics concepts and principles Previous experience with ERP systems (i.e. ERM, Maximo, Oracle, SAP) The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and coordinate & prioritise activities accordingly Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset", sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements. Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood. What will set you apart is your demonstrated experience in materials handling/logistics (including manual use of equipment) and best practice knowledge of warehousing of O&G materials as per industry & client standards.
