What you'll do:
Conduct near-surface geophysical surveys including seismic refraction, MASW, electrical resistivity imaging, magnetics, ground penetrating radar, electromagnetics, and microgravity. Conduct downhole geophysical logging including televiewer and seismic methods. Assist in the acquisition of over-water geophysical data including seismic reflection, refraction, resistivity, magnetic and bathymetry data. Design shallow land-based and over-water geophysical surveys including seismic, electrical, magnetic, electromagnetic, and ground penetrating radar techniques. Process and interpret data using industry-standard geophysical interpretation software. Integrate geophysical and geotechnical data sets. Maintain and calibrate geophysical equipment. Liaise with and provide geophysicist support for specialists from other disciplines or offices within WSP. About You
You're likely to have skills and/or experience in the following areas:
Bachelor of Science or related discipline majoring in geophysics. Post graduate qualification in geophysics is preferred but not essential. Practical experience with two or more of the following: Seismic refraction Seismic reflection MASW ERI Ground penetrating radar Borehole televiewers Electromagnetics Magnetometry Microgravity Experience related to structural geology or geotechnical applications of geophysics. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Advanced report writing skills. Ability to work in the field, sometimes in remote areas.
