Are you our next rising star?  Join our team as a Steward at The Star Brisbane & Treasury Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia's newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
The Steward, reporting to the Stewarding Supervisor will become an important part of our pre-opening team. This role offers the opportunity to be a part of a team that will ensure seamless operation of our Food & Beverage outlets both front and back of house.
A few of your responsibilities Manage the use and storage of chemicals at all times Manage waste materials ensuring recycling is adhered to Maintain and operate operational equipment including dishwasher, utensils and glassware Assisting in set up and preparation for events and banquets What we are looking for Can- do team attitude whilst upholding the star values Sound knowledge of or ability to learn food safety regulations Flexible availability to work on a rotating roster that can include early mornings and overnight shifts. Self-motivation and flexibility to work individually and as a team as required Ability to focus and prioritise several tasks. Experience in kitchen environments is desirable although not essential, we are looking for motivated candidates who can work within a team environment. In this role you will learn and develop an understanding of OH&S standards and take pride in supporting the teams to ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy. The role of the Steward is integral to the team and their success in providing an exceptional guest experience.

When complete, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will deliver four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new food and beverage experiences, significant luxury retail, the restoration of nine heritage buildings and around 1,500 residential apartments.
Our current property, Treasury Brisbane, highlights old-world opulence of a five-star hotel; the non-stop excitement of Brisbane's only 24-hour casino; the thrill of live entertainment; the glamour of exclusive fashion events; the tantalising taste of unique restaurants. Treasury Brisbane will transition into The Star Brisbane aligned to an early 2024 opening.
