Job Opportunity: Chief Operating Officer This is a newly created appointment to join a dynamic, fast-moving organisation at a time of significant expansion and opportunity. We are seeking an executive who will relish a broad challenge. For example:
You will be able to move across operational, financial and strategic matters with relative ease, while building a growing business and managing an expanding team. You'll give close support to the CEO (to whom you will report directly) and the Board. You'll work closely with the CFO and Chief Technology and Science Officer who are also part of the top team. You'll have an eye for detail, planning, compliance, risk management, etc., and for monitoring and measuring performance. In a growing business like this one, your portfolio will be varied and challenging. Turning ideas to plans, then acting and executing, to manage and measure results and outcomes will be key to your success. You may already have held a similar role or be looking to step up. Either way we expect you will have a flair for new technologies - and genuinely enjoy business - and people! Stepping into this (newly created) role you may need to adapt, look at things through fresh eyes, so flexibility and strong people skills are being sought. We also anticipate you will also have excellent skills in operational management.
The organisation is young but growing, with some wise, experienced hands in the boardroom, who will look to you to drive the business to attain goals in place for 2026 and beyond. You will also manage the expectations of investors and customers and be comfortable interacting with both. And work across time zones (and cultures) commonplace in a global enterprise.
We anticipate that you will be able to point to experience in some (if not all) of these aspects. And have a track record of success and achievement. A competitive, market-based remuneration package will be negotiated. Being a new appointment there is flexibility to accommodate individuals with exceptional skills and talent.
