Technology Audit Manager (12- Month FTC) Looking for an experienced IT Audit professional to lead technology audits, assess emerging risks, and strengthen internal controls.
Mars Recruitment is collaborating with a leading financial services organisation in Australia in search of a Technology Audit Manager to join the Internal Audit team on a 12-month basis. This role is instrumental in providing reliable assurance across technology platforms and functions within the business, including emerging risk areas, and contributes to developing a top-tier Internal Audit service.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and conduct comprehensive technology audits, project reviews, and ad-hoc assessments following the Audit Methodology and internal auditing standards. Ensure timely agreement on management action plans and oversee follow-up activities to ensure risks align with the Board's risk appetite. Contribute to the annual Group Internal Audit plan, identifying high-risk areas for priority focus. Develop and maintain effective relationships with business management and risk functions to ensure seamless audit management. Advise the business on internal control measures related to new, existing, or updated products, services, processes, and projects within the audit portfolio. Drive the development of the Internal Audit function through teamwork, innovation, and efficient resource management. Coach and mentor team members, providing on-the-job training, constructive feedback, and supporting their development. Manage audit resources and schedule to balance audit delivery and team growth. Collaborate closely with the Internal Audit team, Group Risk function, Technology & Operations, and other relevant functions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in IT Internal Audit, IT Risk Management, or IT Governance. Knowledge of technology platforms, including applications, Cloud, networks, and databases. Strong experience in cyber security and information security management (CPS234, cloud, API, data) is highly desirable. Exposure to digital and emerging technologies such as AI and robotics is beneficial. Familiarity with project management frameworks like Agile, PMBOK, or PRINCE2.
Education and Competencies:
Degree in Technology, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or Software Engineering preferred. Certifications in Cyber Security, CISA, CISM, or CISSP are desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to convey complex technology issues to non-technical stakeholders. Expertise in applying best practices in internal auditing, with a deep understanding of risks within the technology sector. #J-18808-Ljbffr
