In addition, Elphinstone offers niche manufacturing and engineering support in the transport and utilities sectors.Elphinstone has more than 45 years of experience in the modification and manufacture of underground mining vehicles and currently employs 200+ highly skilled people.The product range includes specialised underground support vehicles and surface mining solutions including extended distance off-highway haulage trucks and water tanks to suit Caterpillar articulated trucks.The Elphinstone range of underground support vehicles includes agitators, scissor lifts, delivery trucks, flat decks, fuel and lube trucks, water cannons, water tanks, motor graders and other specialised support equipment.The existing range of products combines practical design, the latest technology and quality manufacturing to ensure each machine is safe, reliable, productive, ergonomic, and easy to service, maintain and rebuild.Our expanding product range includes, but is not limited to, surface and underground mining vehicles & future products which include low emission diesel combustion engines, Diesel Hybrid Powertrains & Battery Electric Powertrains.Elphinstone is seeking to employ a Technical Writer to work with its passionate and expanding team of professionals as we evolve and expand our product range.About the roleThe role will report to the Engineering Manager and will be working across the entire Elphinstone mining support vehicle product range.The responsibilities and key tasks will include:To develop, write & edit technical documentation relating to the operation & maintenance of Elphinstone products. Documents include, but are not limited to, the following:Operation & Maintenance manualsParts manualsService manualsTraining presentationsProduct update literatureRecommend any engineering improvements to new and existing products when identified.Ensure literature content complies with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Operator and maintainer safety is paramount.Liaise with Mechanical & Electrical Engineers, Designers, Auto Electricians & others as required to obtain relevant information to be included in literature.About YouAt Elphinstone, our most important asset is our people.
