The role of the Technical Specialist, T2 Networks is to take operational ownership of the service that are being offered to Optus Enterprise and Business customers in the form of Managed Network and Data Centre Services. This position reports to the Technical Operations Manager of Networks, but will be available to assist other Teams within the Optus Enterprise and Business Technical Assistance Centre when required to do so. The position is based in Brisbane within the Networks and Security team which is positioned within the EB Delivery division of Optus Enterprise & Business, Operations and Governance. The EB Delivery division provides support and delivery of ICT services to a wide range of external clients in the Australian market who may have infrastructure located in overseas data centres and/or branch offices. Services range from fully managed ICT infrastructure service offerings to support for vendor and third-party maintenance agreements. Ready to reimagine your career at Optus? Troubleshooting to resolving complex faults, identifying, and remediating the root cause of incidents via problem management methodology. Scoping and implementing complex changes within managed Network environments. Configuration of networks solutions by a range of strategic vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet and F5, and the ongoing management of Tier 1 infrastructure. Operate within an environment based on industry best practices for Service Management with ITIL being the framework to achieve this. The team also operates under structured managed service contracts and contractual Service Level Agreements. It starts with you! Data Centre, wireless, enterprise networks experience are key to being successful in this role. Experience working in a service provider capacity, with strong focus on managed network services or in a client environment, managing internal network infrastructure, and external network vendors/stakeholders. Excellent skills in support & configuration of Cisco Data Centre routers and switches, including Nexus Support and configuration of Dynamic routing protocols – BGP & OSPF, Juniper routers and switches, Cisco Wireless solutions, Aruba Wireless solutions & Multiple SD-WAN solutions, or which Fortinet is one of them.. Experience supporting WAN technologies such as Ethernet, Wireless (3G/4G/5G) Certification in major network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet and F5 would be looked upon favourably.
