Job DescriptionReach further with us! HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngster) is a free, two-year home-based early childhood learning program that empowers parents and carers to be their child's first teacher.
Working as the Team Leader of the HIPPY program reporting to the Service Manager, you will coach, supervise and support a small team of Tutors.
This role will oversee the day-to-day operations, including monitoring expenses, undertaking development plans for tutors, and developing resources that are culturally appropriate.
You will build and strengthen local relationships with communities, families, and other local service providers.
This is a part-time (0.8 FTE - 30 hours per week), permanent opportunity based in Kalgoorlie.
Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat you will bring To be successful in this role you will have:
Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Community Services or equivalent qualification in a related fieldExperience working in an early childhood service or system and strong foundations in early childhood development and/or early intervention programs for children and their families.Knowledge of and experience working with children and families, particularly in disadvantaged communities including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.Be experienced in leading a team of paid and unpaid staffHave excellent written and verbal communication skills and good computer literacy skills (Microsoft Word essential)Bring strong administrative, organisational and time management skillsHave experience working in local communities and building local networks and relationships with service providersThe successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, WA Working with Children check, and a WA Drivers' Licence.
