Join us in our mission to nurture the next generation of leaders who are grounded in their identity and prepared for a promising future!The OpportunityWe are looking for multiple full-time Teachers based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.Opportunities exist to teach both Middle School and High School students with class ratios of roughly one teacher to ten students with additional teacher aide support. We are accepting applications from both graduate teachers and experienced teachers!Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:Delivering an engaging and challenging teaching program using EAL/D methodologiesDeveloping and delivering integrated, innovative learning unitsCollaborating with colleagues to foster professional and collegial practicesMonitoring, assessing, and reporting on student learning and progressManaging student behaviour and creating a safe, supportive learning environmentMaintaining accurate records and student information on the TASS databaseUtilising ICT tools and media to enhance teaching and learning experiencesIncorporating pastoral care into classroom activities to support student wellbeingActively participating in staff meetings and contributing ideas for improvementEnsuring compliance with College policies, procedures, and WH&S requirementsPromoting the College's vision, values, and reputation within the wider communityWhat You'll NeedTo qualify, you will need NT Teacher Registration or the willingness to obtain it and a current Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card). Candidates must also hold or be willing to obtain accreditation required by Lutheran Education Australia.Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:Experience with English-as-an-Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) learnersKnowledge of adolescent development and student engagement strategiesProficiency in using ICT tools and applications for teaching and administrationFamiliarity with curriculum development, assessment, and reporting practicesUnderstanding of culturally responsive teaching and Aboriginal education strategiesAdaptability and flexibility to adjust approach mid-lessonAs our ideal candidate, you will possess the following soft skills: excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.
