Atlassian is on the lookout for a Tax Accountant to assist our Tax Managers in addressing the International tax issues facing an expanding technology business.
This is primarily a remote position.
With a sufficient timezone overlap with the team, we're able to hire eligible candidates for this role from any location on the East Coast of Australia.
Our office is in Sydney, but we offer flexibility to work remotely.

We're hiring a Tax Accountant reporting to the Tax Manager.
Here, you'll make a profound and meaningful business impact, working with many stakeholders.
In this role, you will: Prepare international corporate income tax returns and supporting schedulesPrepare quarterly and annual tax provisionsPrepare international tax schedulesArrange corporate income tax paymentsReview the GL for tax sensitive accounts and flow through adjustments into the provision / tax returnAssess the impact of changes in tax laws / accounting standards and coordinate changes to ensure complianceCollaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholdersAssist with tax authority reviews / auditsOn your first day, we'll expect you to have: Started working towards becoming a Qualified Accountant (Masters of Taxation and/or CA/CPA)At least 2-3 years proven experience in direct tax (commerce and/or chartered practice)Strong tax and legal research skills, including the interpretation of tax office rulings and provisions in income tax legislationSolid tax compliance experience and experience applying tax effect accounting principles under IFRS and/or US GAAPExperience solving complex tax issuesExcellent technical skills and proficiency in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)Experience with Oracle, Onesource Tax Provision and Alteryx or an interest in learningComfortable with working in a fast-paced environmentAtlassian offers a variety of perks and benefits to support you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
