Tactical Purchasing Officer X 2

Due to parental leave, Guma-Warnii Resources have two Tactical Purchasing Officer roles which operate within our leading mining client's Global Purchase to Pay Team across the APAC hub on a Monday to Friday roster, working 40 hours per week.
In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of medium complexity purchase requisitions to purchase order conversions with a focus on ensuring compliance and maximising value/savings to the business. The key to success in this position will be your ability to deliver consistent results, drive continuous improvement, build credibility with business stakeholders, and demonstrate a high level of energy and a "can do" attitude.
Reporting to the Manager Regional Buy Operations (APAC), your remit will include but not be limited to:
Provide SME support to the Rio Tinto Procurement Category and Sourcing teamsConduct multiple quote market testing for purchasesAssist with the manual conversion of purchase orders calling off panel agreementsMonitor buy channel complianceSupport transactional buyers with local market knowledgeEngage in one-off sourcing projectsIdentify business improvement opportunities to generate value/savings e.g. automationSupport breakdown / urgent requestsExperience Required Must have SAP buying experiencePrevious experience in a "Buy" role (highly desirable)Working knowledge of the Purchase to Pay processesStrong understanding of SAP and Ariba or similar enterprise softwareExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalDemonstrated skills in working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholder groups identifying true value through business improvement ideasExperience analysing data and defining gaps/opportunities/savingsStrong critical thinking and negotiation skillsStrong planning and organisational skillsAbility to work independentlyWhat we offer Flexible working from home arrangements as per operational requirementsA great team with a collaborative and supportive environmentExcellent hourly rate on offerIf you possess a positive attitude, work well within a team, and have great attention to detail, please apply now to be considered for the role immediately.
